HCC has a variety of semester options. Know all important dates. Read your syllabus for each class. Construct a success plan each term. 8 Find the Best Place to Study
Select a comfortable chair. Study on a flat surface such as a desk Invest in a file box and tools to keep you organized Purchase a light with a white light bulb Learn to use a timer when you study Seek out your professors during their office hours Earn an awesome GPA

9 Take Responsibility for Yourself and Your Actions
Acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the choices in your life. Accepting that you choose the direction for your life. Recognizing that you are your best cheerleader; it is not reasonable or healthy for you to depend on others to make you feel good about yourself. Taking an honest inventory of your strengths, abilities, talents, virtues and positive points. Developing positive, self- affirming, self-talk scripts to enhance your personal development and growth.
