Did you know? Our students who have a reading age of 14 and above have the greatest chance of achieving pass marks in their GCSEs based on recent cohorts. The ability to read fluently and with speed is essential to coping with the demands of GCSE English. Regular practice including dealing with how to decipher unfamiliar vocabulary will help manage the exam texts where the reading age of the materials averages around 16 years.
