1 HydraFLASH Tutorial 1.2 Editing a composition

2 Objective In this tutorial you will learn how to edit and save the current composition.

3 Guide 1. Select the ‘Composition Management’ tab from the ribbon menu.

4 2. Click the ‘Edit Composition’ button:

5 2. This will show a list of all the compositions saved in HydraFLASH:
To edit a composition: Double click a composition’s name Select the composition (by clicking once) and then click the ‘Edit Composition’ button Select the composition and push the ‘Enter’ key

6 3. Once the user has chosen to edit, the composition window will appear with the details of the composition shown.

7 The user can now: Edit the Rel. by mole / Rel. by weight values of components. Re-name the composition. Add components to the composition. Remove components form the composition.

8 4. Remove Methane from the components list
Click the red cross icon in Methane’s row

9 5. Rename the composition ‘Ethane Propane and i-Butane’
4. Add new components Now add the following components from the component list (See Tutorial 1) and edit the feed values (Relative by Mole) as follows: Ethane 70 Propane 20 i-Butane 10 5. Rename the composition ‘Ethane Propane and i-Butane’

10 6. Click the save button:

11 Closing Statement In this tutorial, you have been shown how to edit a composition in the following ways: Add new components. Manage the composition feed. Remove components. Change the name of the composition You should now be able to edit compositions for further use within the application.
