2 Kirklevington Grange Grant Opportunities:
Invite proposals to undertake research on developing: employability skills and franchise activities to support employment on release Prisoners who leave Kirklevington Grange with new skills relevant to the employment market will be in a better position to desist from further criminal activity by gaining employment to support themselves and their families. our guiding principles: Aim high – do the right thing Believe that people can change Communicate and listen – people matter Dare to question and challenge Expect the best from each other 2

3 Holme House Grant Opportunity:
Undertake research to pilot, develop and test a proof of concept for a programme of self-employment training and support The aim would be to: develop a portable model that can be carried and continued by the individual to another prison utilise a wide range of delivery tools including digital delivery our guiding principles: Aim high – do the right thing Believe that people can change Communicate and listen – people matter Dare to question and challenge Expect the best from each other 3

Grant Opportunity: Invite proposals to undertake research on: “What makes a successful Prison?” The aim is to: improve services within Holme House & Kirklevington support the development of prisoners skills and learning to research how prisoner facilities & the environment can be developed to look at how staff could work differently our guiding principles: Aim high – do the right thing Believe that people can change Communicate and listen – people matter Dare to question and challenge Expect the best from each other 4

Grant Opportunity: To undertake research on “the sense of being community owned prisons” The aim is to: involve local people in running our Prisons obtain learning from health, schools and other public bodies to achieve something ground breaking explore how local people can influence the public sector reform programme our guiding principles: Aim high – do the right thing Believe that people can change Communicate and listen – people matter Dare to question and challenge Expect the best from each other 5
