28 12th Grade……… It’s a little late to start working hard in the 12th grade to improve on your grades. You should be applying for colleges by then. Colleges are less impressed with grades earned in the 12th grade (except in extraordinary situations). BUT…your final High School transcript is still required…so don’t lose focus.

31 North Carolina Assessment Requirements
End Of Course - In all courses with an EOC (Math 1, Biology, English II), the EOC test shall count as 20% of the student’s final grade. In all courses with a NC Final Exam, the test shall count as 20% of the student’s final grade. In courses without a state assessment (teacher created exams), the final exam shall count as 20% of the student’s final grade. 85% Attendance required during the semester prior. 37 LEARNER’S PERMIT 14 ½ Years old 30 hours in the driver’s ed classroom
6 hours actual driving DMV and DPI require that you pass 3 of 4 classes each semester=Graduated License Drivers education if offered through a private contractor during after school hours, holidays and summer months. Information is available from site coordinators in each high school.

39 TWO WHEELS … OR FOUR? North Carolina has established legislation that reflects a coordinated statewide effort to motivate and encourage students to complete high school. This legislation requires that a student’s driver’s license or permit be revoked if a student is unable to maintain adequate progress* or drops out of school. *Adequate progress is defined as passing 70% of all courses, determined by first semester grades and second semester grades for schools on block scheduling.
