Pilot Project Funded by Alberta Labour
Created to train Bredin Alumni to support Internationally Educated Professionals become licensed and employed in Alberta
ConnectIn Alumni Project began March 2016 and will be completed by June 30,2017

3. ConnectIn Alumni Program Objectives
Encourage collaboration between Bredin Alumni and students
Opportunity to gain access to valuable experiences and facilitate their entry into the job market
Establish a link between mentors and mentees
Offer a platform for networking
Provide training to Alumni

4. ConnectIn Alumni Program
Through the program Bredin will work with 100 Bredin Alumni
ConnectIn Alumni project will provide training and support services to successful clients of the Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals (CSI) program

5. Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals
The Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals (CSI) program began in 2003
Assist Internationally Trained Professionals (ITP) obtain employment directly related to their education from their country of origin

6. Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals
Currently assisting more then 3000 clients navigate the foreign qualifications recognition process here in Alberta
Over the past three years have reported licensure and/or employment success

The talents and first-hand experience our Alumni clients have is invaluable
Connects past clients with present clients at Bredin Centre for Learning to assist them on their journey through licensure as well as finding employment

8. ConnectIn Alumni Project
Alumni will receive training to support current clients by:
leading occupation specific study groups
facilitating seminars on occupational specific topics
providing mentorship support
In return
Improve public speaking
Enhance their resume
Count towards continuing professional education hours required to keep licensure
