1. This is a PowerPoint to demonstrate how to use the STEM top trumps.
The harder set will require some rearranging of the formulae. The easier set has a tiny bit of rearranging in but a lot less.
The formulae should all be ones they have met/will meet in Physics.
You could insist on using the names for what the letters stand for with more able sets. Similarly you could insist on using units.

6. Ideas for how to make the activity work well:
Pupils to use Mini white boards for working. Pupils wait till both have done their working before revelling their answers. If a pupil spots a mistake in their opponents working then they win the card regardless of which card gave the largest answer.
Before starting agree with class what they will do if substitution leads to a draw.
Pupils my need reminding how to rearrange before hand.
After the activity you could discuss which answers were sensible quantities (some answers will come out ludicrously high or low for real life values).
