2 “To be or not be a hero"

3 According to Albert Einstein, creative imagination is the essential intellectual component to any self-respecting scientist. But fairy tales are the best stimulants of this quality from childhood.

4 The main purpose in this project is to save the students from ordinariness, diffidence and let them dream so they will be able to enrich the capacity of their imagination and be innovative , successful and entrepreneur in their both school and social life. “…we want to support our children to be more creative, confident, entrepreneur, courageous when talking about ideas, democratic, enthusiastic and innovative individuals via heroes in fairy tales and real life.”.

6 This project is necessary because it will be able to boost transversal skills of students such as critical thinking, creativity, noticing innovation capacity, communication and research skills. It will help students to contribute the personality development and have a general knowledge on literature by reading different tales from different countries. The project will create a sense of responsibility towards nature and animals. It will help pupils to see good-bad examples in fairy tales and to gain the ability to distinguish between right and wrong to be equal and respect to others' rights and to be democratic in the life.

8 The cooperation and communication
All partners will communicate via s and phone calls. Students will exchange information on facebook, skype or s. The English language will be used among all partners during the project The participating schools are currently communicating through the internet. Once a week, teachers will communicate with their partners . Once a month the school coordinators will send an evaluation of the project.

9 The cooperation and communication
During each meeting the coordinator of the project will present the evaluation of 1-2 events which have taken place before. Once a month to publish a brochure Project Info, pictures, photos, interesting information, we will use the website By creating Project corner in their schools, the partners will be able to exibit their product to the staff, students and their parents.

10 Activities A1:- September 2015, The creation of project coordination units: All partners schools will form a project team -All participants will form of the project team, determine the number of the students, the teachers and directors in the project activities.All the participant organizations will involve in this activity in their regions. A2: October 2015, The creation of a web page about the project organization and it will be used during the dissemination activities later. Bulgaria will be responsible for this activity. M1: November 2015, A Seminar on dreaming -The first transnational meeting will be done to Belgium. A seminar will be given on dreaming and its improtance to be innovative and entrepreneur . A3: December, 2015, A Slide show We will prepare a slide show about Ataturk as a hero. As the feedback we will apply a survey to measure whether our target group will understand the positive qualities of Ataturk or not. Turkey will be responsible for this activity.

11 Activities A4: January 2016, Reading award
We will ask students to read the famous fairy tales of the project partner countries. As a result, read books will be listed and people who read the most will be rewarded. All partners will be responsible for this activity. A5: February 2016, A story telling quiz We will ask students to tell the stories they read and make a quiz in order to see if there are newly learned words or not. The children who tell the best will be awarded. A6: March 2016, Story completion Students will read open ended fairy tales and they will be asked to complete the ends of the stories. After looking the ends of the stories, we will have chance to observe their critical sides.

12 Activities M2: April 2016, Project Booklet
The participant countries will visit Italy. Booklets will be published for festivals. Italy will be responsible for this act. In this meeting, all the partners will discuss the results of the survey and quiz done. A presentation: In addition, during this trip the coordinator school will present a national hero. Heros Festival: A "heroes festival" and local cultural trips will also be done. Moreover , classroom observations will contribute the professions of teachers. A7: May 2016, Movie night We will review the last visit as well as determine and provide the movies of heroes. Then, we will organize movie nights of fairy tales and heroes in open air cinema in the evenings with parents to strenghten the relationship between child and the parents by providing the necessary infrastructure. M3: June 2016, A dramatization There will be a transnational meeting to Poland. We will discuss the activities done. A presentation of a fairy tale and the characteristics of the hero and watching a dramatization of it. We will discuss the details of the competition of " to be or not to be a hero " and outcomes of it.

13 Activities M4: September 2016, A presentation
The fourth transnational meeting will be done to Bulgaria. The partner school will prepare a presentation about the heroes of business. A8: October 2016, Preparing project corner A project corner will be formed so, students will be informed about the European Union. Project logo: We will decide on a logo of the project which will be used in posters, web site and and the other activities. A9: November 2016, Reading poems on heroism We will ask students to read poems on heroism from partner countries. The questionairre: Moreover , parents will fill the questionaire about the reading time of the students at home. A10: December 2016, A competition We will organize activities on "to be or not to be a hero' competition, each student from partner countries will be asked to create a hero in his/her dream.

14 Activities A11: January 2017, An exhibition
We will have an exhibition of the products the students create as hero. A12: February 2017, Writing a tale Students will write fairy tales of their own heroic characters. M5:March 2017, A presentation The fifth transnational meeting will be done to Portugal. A presentation will be done about a hero. In this meeting we will discuss on the results of competition and look for the outputs of the students as a hero. A13: April 2017, Preparing a project album We will make an albume of the outcomes of student as well as the best tales will be printed as a book for the partner countries. Portugal will be responsible for the project album. Additionally, we will revise the project and prepare for the next meeting.

15 Activities M6: May 2017, A collective fairy tale book
The sixth transnational meeting will be done to Turkey. We will discuss on the whole project and the dissemination activities and sustainability of the project. A presentation will be done about what we have done during the whole project.And a collective fairy tale book will be prepared by Turkey. A14: June 2017, The final report will be completed and sent to National Agency.

16 When the project is completed:
Students will give importance to their education and understand the importance of the school in their life. The students will gain the important values on fairy tales and heros. The relevant people around the school will put themselves into the center of the project to help their children and the students. The creativity of the studensts via exploring new cultures and identifying others nations' traditions lifestyles and cultures is increased within the scope of the project area in the other nations working field with all the project participants.

17 The parents will put themselves into the educational activities and the learning progress to enhance the students success, help students in the learning progress and also support their learning period. The project will help the teachers acquaire the students transversal skills with language skills, such as; literature, history... The students will be motivated to learn foreign language and willing to improve their language skills. The parents will be included in the teaching and education process andt hey will support their children's teaching period. All the stakeholders (teachers, educators, parents) will be aware of the different aspects of the cultures and they will use the cultures to teach foreign languages.

19 Impact on students It will support the improvement of reading skills by reading tales . It will decrease the addiction to the television and computers. It will have an impact in enrichment of vocabulary with reading activities. It will stimulate the sense of curiosity and improve their learning abilities It will increase the desire to learn a foreign language. It will help using foreign language skills It will ensure an atmosphere of mutual tolerance, cooperation and love by providing interaction between cultures. It will give direction to their lives by learning the characteristics of a hero they have learned and admired. It will nurture their self-esteem through some activities like dramatization.

20 Impact on students It will spice up the imagination of children.
It will approach tolerant and understanding of different ideas and people and to be empathetic. It will improve understanding and looking for the solutions of the problems in the world they live, inspired by real-life stories of heroes. Students will raise their responsibility and sensitivity of nature with our project as some of the fairy tale heroes are from animals and plants,. Students will realize that the bad people are punished and the goods awarded in fairy tales in this context they reflect what they learnt to their everyday life. They will gain the ability to make the right choice between positive and negative examples in media by the means of fairy tales. It will increase awareness of intercultural peace, love and friendship, benefiting from the unifying characteristics of fairy tales. Students will learn about being innovative and entrepreneur identifying real heroes.

22 Impact on teachers They will contribute to the professional development as monitoring the different teaching and learning styles of teachers . They will have a general idea of the European people They will acquire better skills using new technologies. -They will improve the ability to communicate in a foreign language. -They will be more culturally aware about European countries. -They will be familiar with various European literature and tales. -They will meet new cultures, life styles, languages etc -They will be motivated for speaking foreign languages. -They will gain a personal development on all stages of the project.
