“All are alike unto God” 2 Nephi 26:33 Mark as a doctrinal mastery scripture. Context: Nephi prophesies of the last days, invites all to come to Christ. He just finishes talking about iniquities, or unrighteous things, that people should not do. Read the scripture Turn to neighbor and tell a phrase you especially liked and why. In this context, what do you think it means that “all are alike unto God”? When have you had an experience that has strengthened your testimony of this doctrine? How might that experience help your friend through their concern? Look for words and phrases that teach the doctrine

2 Nephi 26:33 Jesus Christ does the will of the Father in all things. He lived a sinless life and atoned for the sins of all mankind. Read each verse as a class 3 Nephi 11:10-11

14 How does Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice illustrate God’s perfect love for each of His children and illustrate that all are alike unto Him? Have students write their answer in their journal. Ask a couple people who have been writing a lot to answer out loud.

We should at every opportunity ask ourselves, ‘What would Jesus do?’ and then be more courageous to act upon the answer. We must follow Christ, in the best sense of that word. We must be about his work as he was about his Father’s. … To the extent that our mortal powers permit, we should make every effort to become like Christ—the one perfect and sinless example this world has ever seen” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Explain what that doctrine means to you. Share why you think that doctrine is important for youth to understand. Share your belief or testimony of that doctrine. Have them each write out their thought in their journal and next devotional, or another DM day, they can share their thought.
