2 Rights, Liberties, and the 14th Amendment

3 Lesson Frame We will- Analyze the 14th amendment and its impact on due process of rights I will- Describe the impact the 14th amendment had on civil rights and liberties

4 9th Amendment “Enumeration of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others (rights) retained by the people” People hold rights even if not expressed in the Constitution, cannot be denied

5 10th Amendment Any of those rights, if not granted to the federal government, belong to the states and the people
