There are three types of vocabulary-in-context questions:
Testing alternate meanings of common words
Testing meanings of more challenging words
Rarely, you may be asked to identify the meanings of short phrases that contain words used in non-literal ways (ex: “in its wake” means “as a consequence”)

1) Reread the sentence containing the word and think about a synonym you would in that sentence. Then peek at the answers.
