I started my love with music and singing at school, singing in the choir throughout my time there. When I was in my 4th year senior school I learnt to play guitar .From six string I moved on to Bass, and found I could sing and play added bonus! After leaving school I carried on singing and playing for my own entertainment. At the age of 24 I answered a newspaper add and I joined a young 17 year old man Darren and formed a band called The Stingrays. We played together for 2 years performing on local radio, clubs, pubs and events around the midlands. We were a four piece 60s/70’s band with three part harmonies. As a lot of bands tend to do, we split up after 2 years, which gave me and the rhythm guitarist a chance to start up our own band Midnight hour. We were a duo to start with and used a drummer sometimes. We played together for 14 years, becoming very popular on the Midlands scene. Midnight hour finished and over the next 5/6 years I did solo gigs and then joined a band called Catch 22. This band had four part harmonies producing a Bee gee’s/ Hollies tribute. Out of the ashes of Catch 22 I started a band called Hold Tight, which lasted for about a year and ended due to illness. I carried on with singing solo until I joined The Union Gap who sang “young girl”, then turned full time professional and played bass and second vocal for 2 years. I then decided to leave the Union Gap and had a chance to front a band called The Fourmost who sang “a little loving”. I have been with the Fourmost for 3 months now (see website). Throughout the time I have been with the bands I have been doing solo work when I can. I still love my job.
