2 Log IN Copy and paste the link to reach the DISTANCE CME training site

3 Log IN Screen Link will take you to the log in page.
Username will be your work (county for GCEMS, provided if FD personnel) Initial password: PASSWORD1 (ALL LOWER CASE)

4 Password Change Once you have logged in, go to “profile” on upper Right Tab

5 Password Change on left side, select “password”

6 Password Change Enter original and new password to complete the process

7 Home Screen After password change, when you log in it will take you to the “my training” page. If you are a PARAMEDIC or AEMT it will have the “live als nccp refresher” option. EMTs will have “live bls nccp refresher”. Click on the “show training” button on right side

8 Training Page The class offerings will be listed below.
There are 15 NCCP modules required

9 Class by “L” assignment

10 Register for class Once you have chosen class you wish to take, choose time slot you wish to attend Click on register.

11 Live Class You will log back into website at the time chosen to attend. You will need to close all background windows (instructor will be able to tell if you have other windows open) Every minutes you will be asked to provide some sort of input. If you fail to respond twice during a class, you will not be given credit for attending. The presentations are live instructor, and count the same as sitting in a GCEMS provided cep session.

12 Other offerings Per the NREMT 2015 NCCP Training Officer Guidelines, some of the local and all of the individual hourly requirements can be met through distributive education. Distributive education, as defined by the NREMT:  ” a method of delivering EMS education where the educator and student are not able to interact in real time. Examples include online courses, journal article reviews, and videos.” The below table shows how many distributive hours are allowed in local and individual categories: Local Individual

13 Accessing Distributive education
On training screen select “Library”

14 Distributive Education
Once “library” is selected, the distributive offerings will be listed. They will appear as below, but there are many more offerings. Choose the course you wish to take, and select “show training”

15 Distributive Education
Once the course opens, select “start” and begin the module

16 Distributive Education
The distributive classes are from 30 minutes to 1 hour long, and have a test at the end. They can be taken at any time and are an easy way to meet your individual hour requirements.
