4. Teacher - pass out the heart map activity organizer map and read through it with the classes. There are things to read through on both sides of the handout.
Students: Use the graphic organizer that will be passed out to generate a list of people, places, things or idea words. You will use the list to draw your heart map. Don’t start it yet. I want to show you some examples.

5. You cannot have a heart template until you’ve shown the teacher your brainstorming paper.
The next slides show some examples of heart maps. You can design your ANY way that you want to.
Colored pencils seem to work better than markers for backgrounds. Markers work well for outlining.
You MUST have at least words, images or phrases on your final map.
