2. What is Motion?
Motion: The change in position of an object in respect to its reference point (point of origin)
This can be done by measuring the change in position and the direction it traveled

3. Term associated with motion
Position: Location of an object
Determined by distance and direction - Displacement
Direction: the line or path along which an object is moving, pointing, or aiming
Ex: up, down, left, right, forward, backward, toward, etc
Speed: How far something will move in a given period of time

4. Speed Speed DOES NOT mean that the object is going fast!!!
Speed can be calculated using the following formula:
Speed = Distance ÷ Time
