Figure 1 Generation of anti-tumor responses in MSI-H cancer. Mutations in MMR genes induce the expression of novel frameshift peptides by the tumor. Because the patient has not been tolerized to these peptides, a potent immune response to the peptides develops. This resultant immune response helps control tumor growth and spread.
