1 What about my loved ones?

2 What about my loved ones?
Often in studying with others, one is indicted by a passage Can be asked rejecting the truth, OR sincerely Such questions can lead to further opportunities. Before changing, they want to make sure they are right.

3 What about my loved ones?
This is an emotional question We must step back and seek to be objective! Emotions can deceive With such, let us be compassionate (Mark 10:17-22)

4 What about my loved ones?
God’s word is truth! The Bible is His word – 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Thess. 2:13 It gives us all we need – 2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:3 We must accept what it teaches – 2 Timothy 1:13

5 What about my loved ones?
God’s word is truth! His word does not change – Malachi 3:6, He does not change; Matthew 24:35, Galatians 1:8 Time does not change truth – 1 Peter 1:25 Luke 16:28-31 Emotions do not change truth! 2 Corinthians 2:1-5

6 What about my loved ones?
The Majority will be lost! Matthew 7:13-14 This is not God’s desire – 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:3-4 But most will not obey His will Matthew 7: Cor. 1:26, 1 Peter 4:18

7 What about my loved ones?
When one dies their eternal destiny is sealed! Hebrews 9:27 The rich man and Lazarus – Luke 16:22-26 There are no second chances after death!

8 What about my loved ones?
The condition of loved ones doesn’t change what the Bible teaches When we change the Bible, we are rejecting it and God – Galatians 1: Corinthians 1:18-21, 2:1-4 God’s plan of salvation hasn’t changed – Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16

9 What about my loved ones?
The condition of loved ones doesn’t change what the Bible teaches What the Bible teaches has not changed whether it be: Morality – 1 Cor. 6:9-10 Obedience – Heb. 5:8-9, 2 Thess. 1:8-9 Worship – John 4:24, Matt. 15:7-9 Remaining faithful – Col. 1:23, Luke 9:62, Rev. 2:10, 14:13

10 What about my loved ones?
We will all stand before God in judgment and answer for ourselves Judgment is coming – Acts 17:30-31, Romans 14:10 Judgment not based upon what others believe or did – Romans 14:11-12, 2 Cor. 5:10 Matthew 25:30-46 – what we have done

11 What about my loved ones?
If our loved ones are still alive: We must still obey! Acts 5:29 Matthew 10:34-37 We must choose Him first – cf. Luke 18:29-30 Perhaps in time we will change them. Keep trying!

12 What about my loved ones?
If our loved ones have passed: They are in God’s hands – leave it there! Corinthians 4:3-5 Do NOT read anything into this! 2 Cor. 5:10-11 – our job is to persuade men!

13 What about my loved ones?
If our loved ones have passed: What would they want you to do? Luke 22:7-8 How will the failure of loved ones to know and obey the gospel help you if you refuse to obey what you have learned?

14 When emotional arguments are made, they are typically “loaded questions”. Truth has been revealed and error exposed. An appeal to the state of another (i.e. “What if…”) is no longer valid when a truthful answer has been given…

15 …Then it becomes a matter of whether you will do what you know to be right or not. Will you be able to stand before God in judgment having dismissed His truth because of the emotional consequences?

16 ARE you ready to stand before Him?
