DNA Sequence Chromosome 144,475 Name of Protein 12 Name of Gene ATP-binding cassette, sub-family C (CFTR/MRP), member 9 ABCC9 transcription Amino acid sequence mRNA 149 aa translation Cytoplasm A Cell Nucleus What does this protein make up or do? ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes Condition/Disease Mutations in this gene are associated with cardiomyopathy

2 Description of Chromosome 12
Symptoms and characteristics . ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra- cellular membranes This protein is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein is thought to form ATP- sensitive potassium channels in cardiac, skeletal, and vascular and non-vascular smooth muscle. Protein structure suggests a role as the drug-binding channel- modulating subunit of the extra- pancreatic ATP-sensitive potassium channels.

3 Who is affected? Anyone, but the following have a higher risk:
Anyone who has sleep deprivation in there family tree Outlook or quality of life There are many types of ways to deal or aid sleep deprivation. Sleeping medication. Researcher: DS
