7 You can read! You can check out books to read—2 at a time for 2 weeks You can borrow books in the library without checking them out Read

8 Look up Books Fiction, Non-fiction, Reference
We have print books and audiobooks Look up books by going to , selecting Library, Links, and Library Collection Search by subject, author, and/or title Look up Books

9 Locate Books Locate books by type:
Non-fiction= DeweyNumber and first 3 of author’s last name Fiction= F and first 3 letters of the author’s last name Locate Books

10 Research Have a paper? Get help with resources in the library
On the library page, select links Recommended online resources are found under TEL: Tennessee Electronic Library Most of the sources are already cited for you! Just copy and paste We recommend World Book Advanced for your black and white facts and for more in-depth research use the GALE databases—your best bet is to search by subject from the TEL homepage Let’s check it out (this is going to be part of your scavenger hunt)! and select Library Research

13 Print Print your papers/ presentations, etc. Click print
Select the Workroom Printer and put in the code 8888 Pick up your work in the room labeled “Steve Buchanan” in the red pod Print

14 Supplies Need to borrow some supplies?
See me and just ask—I usually have paper, markers, pencils, glue, crayons, post its, paper clips, tape, etc. that you are welcome to use Supplies

16 Lose your computer login? Just ask—I probably have it!

17 Displays/ Contests Check out our new books by the front door
Submit a guess to win a contest on any of our displays Displays/ Contests

18 Lunch Use the library for any of these things during your lunch
After you eat, see Mr. Buchanan/ lunch monitor and ask for the red binder and a lunch pass Sign out of lunch using the red binder and in to the library using the clipboard at the circulation desk Lunch

Books may be checked out for two weeks at a time and can be renewed if necessary! Two books at a time, including playaways Rules (cont)

New materials cannot be checked out if a student has late fees or lost materials Replacement cost of the missing/damaged items will be expected before the student may checkout other items. Rules (cont)

Groups of no more than four and you must stay in your row (so choose your group from the people next you) Start now You have 10 minutes. The group that has the most correct answers when I say STOP will win! Let’s Play!
