2 Developing KS 2 & 3 Transition
Follow February’s meeting, BMAS have updated the transition documents to schools to include (see additional handout): Year 6 instrumentalists that are transferring (where applicable) Updated and streamlined the information regarding Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (brief breakdown and less confusing) Does anything else need to change?

3 Performances and Child Licensing
Now essential as a part of Safeguarding Has to be completed for every performance Requirements (now simplified): All schools attending an event will be required to submit the application (see following slides) – MUST MEET DEADLINE! Confirmation that chaperones ratio (1:12) will have enhanced DBS Confirmation of method of transport to and from the event The same application process regardless of school type In future we will be asking schools to meet strict deadlines. Attendance will be denied if BOPA/Child License applications do not meet deadlines. Bring a copy of your register to the event (names only)* *The licencing team can carry out spot checks of events will request to see registers of those in attendance.

8 Electronic Music India: Free weekend workshops
The University of Huddersfield in partnership with Sound and Music is excited to be offering girls (aged 10-15) two free weekends of workshops exploring music technology and Indian vocal music. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about recording techniques, audio editing software and using digital performance instruments as well as to work alongside leading Carnatic vocalist, Supriya Nagarajan who will explore Raga systems, Indian uses of voice and the use of time cycles and rhythm in Indian music.
