The Events Register shows key, summary information about each recorded Event. We can browse the register by scrolling through the table and using the page controls at the bottom of the screen.

6 [Find An Event] Sort the Register
The number of entries shown can be altered to suit your preference by making adjustments in the Filters sidebar. Sorting the order of the register to suit your requirements, can be done by clicking the column headers. For example: To sort by Date, click the Date column header. Click it again to toggle between ascending and descending order.

7 [Find An Event] Smart Search
Smart Search makes it easy to find one or more Events that match a certain criteria. For example: To find a particular Event ID, simply type the ID into the Smart Search field. With each keystroke, Vault intelligently narrows down the results to only those entries that match. We can do the same thing with any information, for instance the event Subject.

8 [Find An Event] Additional Smart Search Controls
Additional Smart Search Controls are also available to filter results to those matching multiple criteria. For example: To find Events of a certain Category which fall under the responsibility of a particular Site. Click the blue arrow to reveal available parameters, Select Category and enter the category name. Then Select Site and enter the name of the site responsible. Now, only Events that match both criteria are found.
