Focus on bacteria reduction in WWTP effluent

Start at front of the plant; move through entire plant
When most of us think about bacteria reduction, we typically think about the disinfection process
Understand: things that occur throughout the entire plant that affect bacteria levels and improvements that can be made throughout the plant that can help WWTPs meet those level.
Many operators are taking their own samples;
Plant operating fine, sudden spike in bacteria levels, no correlation to any other change in process
May be the result of poor sampling procedures; experts from the lab give some background on best sampling practices
