1.1.3.D.—Demonstrate comprehension/understanding before reading, during reading, and after reading on grade level texts through strategies such as retelling, summarizing, note taking, connecting to prior knowledge, supporting assertions about text with evidence from text, and non-linguistic representations.

You will be placed into 3 separate groups. Each group will be answering a different set of questions.
Please take your time to answer the questions and choose the best answer based on the story that we read together.
Please remember to look at the .pdf file of the story if you have any trouble remembering the answer.

Brief Overview: Students made predictions about the story and then practiced reading the story out loud. Students also had a copy of the story in a .pdf file and were instructed to print it out or use it for referring to the questions at the end of the story. Students were given assessment questions at the end of the passage. Students answered questions and reviewed the answers, they also answered an opinion question and backed up their responses with a reason.
