Don't wear gloves when working with machine tools!
The risk of a glove becoming caught and your hand being dragged into the tool is higher than from chips.
Keep your fingers a safe distance from moving parts.
Don't grip the bottom of a surface you are drilling or cutting through.
Turn the tool off before measuring a piece.
Use a brush to remove chips, not your hands.

Ties, hair, necklaces, long sleeves or any other dangling items will be grabbed by power tools. If you are lucky they will break before parts of you reach the power part of the tool.
Remove before using power tools!
Rings and earrings can also catch, but are usually less of a danger.
