1 There are many ways to look at something.

2 Which way do you see this?

3 Technology is for ALL learners!
Use technology in the classroom to directly support the curriculum in authentic tasks. Go beyond review games and assessments to introduce your students to different technology options that support-and challenge- different learning styles. How do I get started?

4 Objectives Different types of learners Multiple Intelligence
Learning Styles Assignments-Authentic, Support curriculum Product choices Technology options Study strategies

5 Where did you have fun this summer?
Who are you? What do you like to eat? Where did you have fun this summer? Create something that will show others the following information about you. You may use any materials available, including the computer. Your name and why you were named that Favorite food and where you last ate it Fun thing you did this summer and where you were

13 Music It might seem crazy what I’m about to say
Sunshine she’s here, you can take a break I’m a hot air balloon that could go to space With the air, like I don’t care baby by the way [Hook:] Because I’m Judy Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof Because my dad liked it Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth Because I’m Fitzpatrick Clap along if you know what happiness is to you Because I got married Clap along if you feel like that’s what you wanna do

14 Verbal Linguistic My name is Judy, but my real name is Judith. My mom wanted to name me Gretchen, but my dad wanted Judy. My mother told me that story many times, so I guess she really wanted Gretchen. My middle name is the same as my mom’s. When I was in middle school, I changed the y to i and then I put a Over the i. Don’t you think that is cool? I didn’t really do that very long because I just kept forgetting, When my big brother found out, he make fun of me so I wanted to stop. My family name is Walz. It is German and I was ok with it. When I got married I decided to change my name to Fitzpatrick. It is an Irish name and I am part Irish so that was fine, too. I kind of like being closer to the front of the alphabet. It is annoying to always be at the back of everything and be called last.

15 Kinesthetic

16 Interpersonal What is your real name, Mamu?
It is Judy. My mom wanted to name me Gretchen, but my dad wanted Judy. What about Fitzpatrick? You and Daddy and I all have the same last name. Yes, we do. Your Papa’s name is Fitzpatrick and when I got married I changed my name to that. I like that it is Irish because I am Irish, too. And so are you! Can we play legos now?

17 Intrapersonal I really like my name, Judy. I don’t like Judith so much. I wonder why I don’t hear about people naming their children Judy. I am very glad I wasn’t named Gretchen like my mom wanted. I think that Fitzpatrick is better than my maiden name, Walz, and I am glad I got it when I got married. Everyone spelled Walz wrong and it was at the end of the alphabet which was boring.

18 Nature My dad liked this name. Judy
Fitzpatrick I got this name when I got married.

19 Tips to Implement Keep eye on the objectives of the curriculum Differentiate with choices How the knowledge is shown is not as important as meeting the objective Introduce different options and require all to use it before letting them choose-- start with Google Different ways to use the same program Check with your ITRT before you use the suggested programs Computer programming for different learners

20 Multiple Intelligence menus
Differntiate with menus Learning menus-- why? What? Digital Arts menus

21 Multiple Intelligence Assessment rubric
Multiple Intelligences assessment menu Sample rubrics Pinterest rubrics Rubric and Project-Based Learning Create your own rubric (give them ahead to keep for a checklist)

25 Other ways to classify different learners
Kinesthetic Auditory Visual This involves both instruction and studying.

29 Computer programming/coding
Programming appeals to all learners Striving for a goal and levels Blockly language-- appeals to Courses 1, 2, 3, and 4 are for linear workers Creative workers Code.org additional courses Madewithcode.com
