We want the advancements to trickle down into CP but in order for that to happen we need to provide software and training material that is in line with recent development -- hence, BEEODA

: two to three-week hands-on workshops at USGS/BU using proprietary software – not ideal
Aug. 2014: USAID workshop in Peru on estimation using open- source but no VM – better but issues
Jul./Aug. 2015: START/GOFC-GOLD/NASA workshop at BU using BEEODA – successful solution
Fall 2015: used in BU remote sensing course
Since 2016: on-the-road workshops in U.S., Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Peru
