2. What our group is going to do
Our group is going to connect with scientist who are trying to rid the ocean of plastic. We will make can crushers and get recycling bins and put them on the beaches and river banks. So when people are drinking they have a place to put their bottles and cans so they don’t end up it the ocean.

3. What is the ocean clean up project
The ocean clean up project is a none profit organization that is trying to clean up the garbage “islands” in the ocean. There are currently 6 major garbage .They are trying to clean up the biggest one first. Which is the great Pacific garbage patch. It is half way between Hawaii and California.

We asked the Ocean Clean Up Project 6 questions. We ed the questions and they responded with answers. Some of the answer they sent we added on to
the answers, by checking their website.

A the great Pacific garbage patch was discovered between the garbage patch is twice the size of Texas and has more than 705,000 thousand tones of plastic. It would coast more than 350 million dollars to completely get rid of the pacific garbage patch.

6. What Are People currently doing to reduce the garbage patches
Q What are people doing to reduce the garbage patches
A If you think of actual plans to clean the garbage patch up, The Ocean Cleanup is the only organization cleaning up on a large scale. There are several smaller organizations but they are nowhere near what we have. The ocean clean up is making a net that goes down about 3 meters that catches all the plastic on the top of the water but still lets the ocean life through and under the net.

A) There are several steps you and your group can do to prevent plastic pollution and, but some depend on recycling facility's in your area. Here are a few tips
- Organize beach, river bank or land cleanups.
- Reduce your use of disposable bags including micro beads in cosmetics
- dispose of trash
- Wash your clothing as little as possible repair you broken jackets and use for as long as possible
- donate to
Lobby to your local government.

8. How much plastic is in the ocean
There are over 5 trillion pieces of plastic in the ocean, that weighs over thousand tons. Pieces of plastic out number fish 6:1
