2. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Where? In a boat on the sea – Jesus has left the building (house)
When? End of ch. 12 – “True kindred of Jesus”  disciples; Ch. 14 – Jesus leaves this place and returns to His hometown; John the Baptist is killed
What? Illustrates what it is to be a follower of Jesus; co-existence of good & evil in the world; spread of the Kingdom of God; eschatology
Who? Jesus in role of “teacher”; Crowds of people & disciples
How? Agricultural parables; explanation to disciples
Why? To fulfil the prophecy; God’s Providence and plan of salvation

Mother of the living Gospel,
wellspring of happiness for God’s little ones,
