Ex. Crocodile and Plover Bird
The drawing shows the Nile crocodile opening its mouth to permit the Egyptian plover (a small bird) to feed on any leeches inside the crocodiles mouth.
The Egyptian plover takes insects from the backs of buffaloes, giraffes and rhinos. The plover has also been observed taking leeches from the open mouths of crocodiles! In this association the plover receives a supply of food and the other animal rids itself of unwelcome pests

3. Symbiotic Relationships
Commensalism-
one species benefits and the other is neither harmed nor helped
Ex. Remoras (fish) and Sharks
The dorsal fin of the remora is modified into a sucker with which it forms a temporary attachment to the shark. When the shark feeds, the remora picks up scraps. The shark makes no attempt to prey on the remora and the remora is not hurt.
