A predicate adjective is an adjective that follows a linking verb and describes the subject of a sentence. (Forms of be are linking verbs...remember? Other linking verbs are taste, look, feel, smell, appear...you get the idea?)
The air feels warm today. Warm is the predicate adjective because it describes air.
