Gallery Walk
A gallery walk is a great way to get everyone’s thoughts on something in a way that is low risk for those not comfortable to share out in front of everyone.
Walk around the room with a marker and write down something that someone with that M.I. might do to learn something.

Say what activity you’re doing.
Give your directions in a clear and concise way. (2-3 directions at most!)
Ask someone to repeat the directions so you know everyone understands what they’re about to do.

Debriefing
How do you know that the people in your workshop are learning what you want them to learn? At MLW, one of the many things we do is called debriefing – asking questions that target what we want people to learn.

Each activity should end with debriefing questions. That’s how you know people are understanding what you’re trying to share!
In your handouts, there are TONS of stems for debriefing question. The highest levels of learning happen in the more challenging stages.

SIDE NOTE: Don’t let your theme overpower your content, but have fun with it!
Example: If you’re doing a Parliamentary Procedure workshop, you could make it a live game of Candyland where delegates advance to different areas on a giant game board, just like in Candyland. Then ya go crazy with candy!
