Debriefing How do you know that the people in your workshop are learning what you want them to learn? At MLW, one of the many things we do is called debriefing – asking questions that target what we want people to learn. 11/16/2018 Used with Pemission from Maryland Leadership Workshops, INC.

Debriefing Each activity should end with debriefing questions. That’s how you know people are understanding what you’re trying to share! In your handouts, there are TONS of stems for debriefing question. The highest levels of learning happen in the more challenging stages. 11/16/2018 Used with Pemission from Maryland Leadership Workshops, INC.

18 Pair up with someone who is your height!
Write down 5 questions you could use in your workshop using the Bloom’s Taxonomy Question Stems 11/16/2018 Used with Pemission from Maryland Leadership Workshops, INC.

19 Pick a theme to go with your workshop!
Themes are a little extra flavor to make your workshop even more exciting! SIDE NOTE: Don’t let your theme overpower your content, but have fun with it! Example: If you’re doing a Parliamentary Procedure workshop, you could make it a live game of Candyland where delegates advance to different areas on a giant game board, just like in Candyland. Then ya go crazy with candy! 11/16/2018 Used with Pemission from Maryland Leadership Workshops, INC.

20 Meet with your training partner
Write down 5 things you can implement from this workshop into your own workshop for next week! We encourage you to borrow and steal from how you’ve seen us facilitate! 11/16/2018 Used with Pemission from Maryland Leadership Workshops, INC.

21 If you’re not having fun, you’re not doing it right!
