3 Percent of Increase – When the new amount is more than the original.
Percent of Change is a ratio that compares the change in a quantity to the original amount. new amount – original amount Percent of Increase – When the new amount is more than the original. Percent of Decrease- When the new amount is less than the original.

4 Example 1: Find the percent of change in tree height from year 1 to year 10. Round to the nearest whole percent if necessary. Year Ten-9.6 ft. Year One- 4 feet 140% increase
