PMI-DHC Finance Report, FY12
The Chapter is in good financial health. An overall expected deficit of approximately $(1,108), primarily due to subsidization of Monthly Meetings. Revenues of $59,200 were down as the Chapter was not able to engage as many members as in the past. $74,000 for FY12 year, showing a decrease in Revenues of $14,800 from FY12. This is a by-product of having a brand new Board of Directors and not having as many Professional Development Events. Expenses just under $60,307 for FY13, an decrease of approximately $18,603 from FY12. This is reflective of less revenue and engagement with the members. The prime reasons for this decrease – in Revenue and Expenses is in line with the decrease in membership.

New Financial Initiatives
Moving forward we plan to re-invest in a GIC that better reflects the reserve funds we need to operate the Chapter over a 6 month period. We have been advised by PMI to have 6 months operating expenses averaged over the past three years. We plant to work towards a balanced budget. The money that is in the bank now is going to be earmarked for programs that will engage the membership. Each portfolio will have to opportunity to apply for a portion of the ear-marked money for new initiatives. (i.e. we are investing in the symposium to keep prices at a minimum while providing a quality product). AGM 2014
