4 65-70 volunteers needed for a variety of jobs.

5 Volunteers Critical to program’s success!!! Weekly volunteers:
Each team must have volunteers for field events and place pickers Help coaches as needed Full Season Volunteers: Announcer – Al Viall Age group Coordinators Equipment manager Directors- POSITION OPEN TO BE FILLED Shirt Coordinator Ribbon Coordinator

7 2018 Schedule Practices emailed track schedule Track Meets
4-6th grade: Practices on 4/4, 4/9, 4/16, and 4/23rd from 5:30-7:00 at the track put on by the HS and coaches need to be there. This will take groups through the field events and hurdles. Track Meets Please refer to the stadium calendar to everyone Team Pictures Dates are set for 4/17 and 4/18 at RMS, your team’s coach will have date and time.

8 Track Meet Days What to expect:
Arrive 15 min early If you are not volunteering PLEASE be seated in the bleachers or outside of the track. If you are volunteering please report to the finish line table you will be directed where to go at that time. Meets run hours long

9 Events for Pre K- 1st Girls and boys are on separate teams Pre K/K on visitor side 1st grade on home side 3 field events Baseball throw Running Long Jump Standing Long Jump Running events (using only the straight away) 50 m 6 X 50 shuttle relay 70 m 100 m 8 x 70 shuttle relay

10 Events for 2nd Grade Girls and boys are separate teams

11 Events for 3rd grade Girls and boys are separate teams

13 Equipment No specific equipment needed, but recommend good shoes
You will be given a track shirt, this is to worn on outside of jackets/sweatshirts 4-6th graders are allowed to wear 1/8th “ spikes, this is NOT required.

14 Cancellation Policy Co-Directors will determine whether meets are canceled or postponed due to weather Canceling a meet is VERY last minute, sometimes it is not until we are on the track Do not assume that because one meet is canceled that they will all be canceled. Check your s for the cancellation Co-Directors will determine the make up meets

15 Parent Responsibility
YOU are responsible for YOUR child DO NOT leave children alone at the practice or meet If you cannot be there, arrange with another parent to be responsible It is NOT the coaches responsibility. RAAA has a ZERO tolerance policy Try to arrive 15 minutes before the start of each meet Let your coach know if you are missing a meet so they can adjust their rosters.
