2 What are Sound Devices? Sound Devices are the sounds of words the contribute to the musical quality of a poem. It strengthens the meaning.

4 Consonance The repetition of consonant sounds with different vowel sounds “Whisper words of wisdom, let it be” -Let it Be by The Beatles

5 Assonance the repetition of vowel sounds in stressed syllables that do not rhyme “I can hear the wind whipping past my face. As we dance the night away.” – Love on Top by Beyoncé

6 Repetition The repeated use of a word or phrase
