3 Why AirCom? AirCom fixes current issues
Stable web-based platform does not require user application updates User friendly – web-based tabbed browsing Single application performs multiple functions and provides single point of data entry Ensures data required to be submitted to EPA is collected in the system and in a way to allow for easier upload to EPA Consistent process and system across state Allows for workload planning and tracking Includes reminders for when an activity has been started but not completed, to ensure State Review Framework (SRF) timeframes are met 8/7/2014

5 Key Features Web based and can be used on desktop, laptop, and tablet
“Hybrid” approach allows for generation of a custom inspection PDF that can be used to enter data on a tablet AirCom will then extract data from PDF and automatically enter results into system PDF can also be printed out and used for manual entry of inspection results 8/7/2014

6 Key Features Easy workload management Second-level review
Activities can be created at any time and placed into “Planned” status Once activity results are entered, activity moves to “In Progress” Automated s will remind staff if activities are pending and not yet completed Second-level review When activity is completed, can be marked “Ready for Review” to be sent to manager Not all activities require management review 8/7/2014

7 Key Features EPA violation type and criteria can be entered directly into system Data checks – System will check activity data to ensure all required data is entered System will alert user when observations exceed allowable values – Ensures noncompliance accurately documented Data will be uploaded automatically to EPA, with minimal, if any, manual QA/QC Existing data will be migrated into new system 8/7/2014
