1 Final Authority

2 (2Co 11:1-4) Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, AS the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

3 The STRATEGY of Satan

4 1st He tries to get her to question God’s Word
(Gen 3:1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

5 2nd He changes God’s Word
(Gen 3:4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (Gen 2:17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

6 3rd He reinterpreted God’s Word
(Gen 3:5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

7 1st He tries to get her to question God’s Word
2nd He changes God’s Word 3rd He reinterpreted God’s Word HIS APPROACH WAS RELIGION!

8 (2Co 2:11) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

9 The strategy of Satan in the Old Testament

10 (Jer 23:30-32) Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD..

12 THERE ARE 7 CHURCHES ADDRESSED IN THE WITTINGS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT BY PAUL!

13 Romans (Rom 16:17-18) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

14 CORINTH (2Co 2:17) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. (2Co 4:2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

15 CORINTH (2Co 11:3-4) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

16 GALATIA (Gal 1:6-7) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

17 EPHESUS (Act 20:29-30) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

18 PHILIPPI (Php 3:2) Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. (Php 3:18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

19 COLOSSAE (Col 2:4) And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

20 THESSALONICA (1Th 2:13) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. (2Th 2:1-2) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

21 The STRATEGY of Satan The SPECULATION of the Bible

22 (2Pe 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(2Pe 1:21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

23 THE AVERAGE STATEMENT OF FAITH BY THE FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES AND BIBLE COLLEGES IN AMERICA TODAY
We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation of God, and thus the sixty-six book of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the complete (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. We teach that the Word of God is an objective, propositional revelation, verbally inspired in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original manuscripts, infallible and God-breathed.

2. If we don’t have the originals then is what we are reading not inspired

29 (2Ti 3:15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

30 (Luk 4:16-21) And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

32 THE OTHER STATEMENT OF FAITH BY THE FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES AND BIBLE COLLEGES IN AMERICA TODAY
We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation of God, and thus the sixty-six book of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. We teach that the Word of God is an objective, propositional revelation, verbally inspired in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original languages, infallible and God-breathed.

34 THE AVERAGE CHRISTIAN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION “WHERE IS THE INSPIRED, INERRANT INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD TODAY?” “The Word of God has been preserved in the original languages, but it is impossible for you to have a those actual literal inspired words in English… because in translating from one language to another it is impossible to have a word for word translation.”

36 TRANSLATING JOSEPH, HIS BRETHREN AND THE INTERPRETER
(Gen 42:23) And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.

37 (2Pe 1:20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(2Pe 1:21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

38 TRANSLATING MOSES AND PHARAOH
(Exo 8:9) And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?

39 TRANSLATING PAUL AND LUKE
(Act 21:39-40) But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people. And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

40 TRANSLATING DANIEL AND NEBUCHADNEZZAR
(Dan 2:26-27) The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof? Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;

41 TRANSLATING JONAH AND THE WORKS AT NINEVEH
(Jon 3:2) Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

42 TRANSLATING JESUS AND THE GOSPEL
(Joh 1:47) Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! (Joh 1:48) Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
