6 Program Funding Project provides long term rate stability and lower long term cost for the County Project cost will be on the order of $200 million Funding Sources Over $65 million dollars in low interest loans from GEFA $15 Million in State Direct Investment In discussions with other potential funding programs Revenue bonds Funds for the program are paid out of water and sewer usage fees based on consumption. 8 New MNGWPD Projections
In August of 2015 MNGWPD released revised long term (2050) projections for water demand Demand projections decreased due to higher conservation rates. Other reservoirs in the region are potentially “oversized” However, the RCR yield sizing is consistent with the 2050 MNGWPD projections Speaker: Kelly Other reservoirs in the region are potentially “oversized” However, the RCR yield sizing is consistent with the 2050 MNGWPD projections New MNGWPD projections do not change the need or size of the RCR Program.
