2. A little bit about John Cabot
He was born in Italy
His real name is Giovanni Caboto
Although he was born in Italy he moved to England and decided to explore for them
He was in to exploring when he was very little

3. Where did Cabot go? He believed he could reach Asia by going northwest
Cabot did not reach Asia, but reached Canada instead
He thought that he had reached the eastern coast of Asia though
He decided to claim the land for England

4. Why did Cabot go there? Cabot explored out to find a new route to Asia
Like any other European explorer Cabot tried to find exotic spices, claim new land, and to spread religion
The main reason was so he can find wealth in the new country

Pirates from the coast of America wanted many things
Including food ,new technology ,wealth ,designs for ships and new weapons
They also wanted to discover the new world

6. Cabot’s main accomplishment
Cabot was considered to some people the “Lord of Spices”
He was the first to discover Canada after the Vikings
Cabot claimed parts of Canada for England

7. How was Cabot unsuccessful
Cabot had to come back to England his first three voyages because of no food, bad weather, and problems with the crew
Also, he tried to reach Asia, which he thought he did, even though he reached Canada
