18. Police Assisted Referrals (PAR)
Foundations of the PAR Program:
Police are first social responders
Currently, there is little on the duty belt to address issues that occupy the majority of their time
Police are ready, willing and able to assist citizens in getting help for their problems

19. Starting June 2015….
The Cleveland Plan will add a new tool to an officer’s duty belt!
“Policing the Teen Brain” is a training program that provides officers with the information and skills they need to effectively interact with youth.
The 2-day training translates cutting edge psychiatric practice and neurological research into practical skills for officers.

Support community engagement of, and delivery of services for, under-served and at-risk populations, particularly year olds.
