Nonrenewable Energy = comes from sources that will run out or will not be replenished in our lifetimes—or even in many, many lifetimes. Carbon is the main element in fossil fuels and is released when burned.

Natural Gas (aka- Methane)
Natural gas consists mostly of methane and is drawn from gas wells or in conjunction with crude oil production. As delivered through the pipeline system, it also contains hydrocarbons such as ethane and propane as well as other gases such as nitrogen, helium, carbon dioxide, sulphur compounds, and water vapour. Fracking Fracking is the process of drilling down into the earth before a high-pressure water mixture is directed at the rock to release the gas inside. Water, sand and chemicals are injected into the rock at high pressure which allows the gas to flow out to the head of the well.

Splitting a Uranium Nucleus by bombarding it with nuetrons Creates heat energy Use this to heat water as in traditional power plants Leaves behind radioactive waste Fusion Combine nuclei of smaller atoms to form a larger nucleus. Releases tremendous amounts of energy Potentially safer energy source than Fission because it creates less dangerous radioactive byproducts.
