4 Flappers gained public attention for refusing to conform to society’s expectations for women.

5 Prohibition began in the U. S
Prohibition began in the U.S. after the 18th Amendment was ratified in 1919 to make alcohol illegal. Billy Sunday

6 A major result of Prohibition was an increase in organized crime because many Americans wanted to continue to consume alcohol. “Bootlegging” Al Capone

7 As a result, Prohibition was later repealed when the 21st Amendment was ratified in 1933.
