Senator McCarthy told Americans he had a list of communists who had infiltrated the American government. Their goal was to take over the United States and to spread communism. Name this event. The United States used airplanes to brings food, coal, and other needed supplies into West Berlin to keep the people from starving and to stop it from becoming part of East Germany.

The United States became involved in the Korean War because the North Koreans attacked South Korea. They wanted to make the entire country communist. South Korea asked for the United Nations and NATO’s assistance.

Over time as the war went on people protested the war. What was the outcome of the Vietnam War? The United States military lost the War.
