Teaching Credential in 2007 11 years teaching experience in Murrieta Married to Lisa for 22 years Father of 4 wonderful boys About Me

3 CLASSROOM POLICIES: Participation is expected because it enhances learning Respect other’s rights to learn Student learning impacted by distractions No food allowed Water only Bathroom visits will be monitored Beginning of being an adaptable learner Be accountable… NO excuses!

4 BEHAVIOR POLICY: Focus on positive reinforcement/praise
Opportunities given to change behavior 3 strike model of progressive consequences (see syllabus) 3 strike limit per each 6 week grading period (see syllabus) Strong emphasis placed on how behavior/actions affects self and others

5 Class Rules Come to class on time, be prepared, and ready to learn
Give 100% effort Be respectful and courteous to fellow students and staff Keep the classroom neat and orderly Raise your hand when you have something to share Be accountable for your actions

Also known as Imagine Math Web based learning program Focus on problem solving and application One lesson passed/week All work shown in notebook Lesson name and item # 5% of math grade Completed at home and at school Adaptive and functional 5 components in lesson: Pre-quiz Warm up Guided learning Practice Final lesson test Computer lab on Mondays

Four Domains: Life, Earth and Space, Physical, Engineering and Technology. Three dimensional learning: Practices, concepts, core ideas Increased proficiency in science, real world practices of scientist, concepts applied across all domains Topics covered: cells human body systems heredity water cycle heat transfer weather and climate natural hazards kinetic energy Material covered will come from CPO Earth Science Textbook and STEMscopes (a standards aligned online curriculum program)
