5 Facts About Campbell Elementary
Year built: 17 years ago in 2000 School named after: Bess Campbell (Bess Campbell was a well-respected Lamar CISD teacher who is said to epitomize the dedication and service of all the district’s teachers.) School mascot: Cougar School color: Maroon Motto: We are here to help! We have been newly named as a 2016 Texas Honor Roll School recipient by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Institute for Productivity in Education (IPE).

9 PTO The Campbell PTO - organized volunteers who spent countless hours helping our school - hosted teacher appreciation events and sponsored teacher appreciation week - raised funds for grade level field trips, teacher training, iPads for every classroom, updated books for our literacy library, funds to support our art, music and PE departments and purchased books for classroom libraries - sponsored student programs (NED Program which promotes hard work, kindness towards others and determination) - provided each teacher with start-up classroom materials - donated back to the community through the Giving Tree and conducted a community service project for Common Threads

21 General Information Transportation:
Car Rider Bus Day Care Walker / Biker* It is highly recommended to keep your child’s transportation consistent on a daily basis. Rainy day dismissal: If the campus follows our rainy day dismissal plan, then students are not allowed to walk or bike home. Inform your child’s teacher how your child will get home in case we must implement this plan.

24 Self-Help Skills Go to the bathroom by themselves (wipe, wash, flush, snap, button, zip!) Get coats off and on…and hang them up Blow their nose and cover their mouth when they cough Fasten and unfasten simple buttons and snaps Follows a simple two step direction (Take off your shoes and put them in your closet.) Know how to pack and unpack their backpack Clean up their personal space
