2 myDevelopment – Merging Training Records
A Guide to Merging Current Training Records Merging Current Training Records Training records are held against the User’s SAP Number (also known as the staff number) Occasionally training may be completed under another login e.g. when working for an external company on location This training should be merged to the user’s SAP number when issued (for work experience returning to the BBC) or at the end of the engagement Note that training completed on a generic login cannot be merged to an individual training record for an SPV (special- purpose vehicle) such as Grafton House Productions as work experience (for training completed on a new User ID) Instructions Complete the template with the source user ID or SAP number from which the training is to be merged the destination SAP Number to which the training record will be added the names and staff numbers of the training bookers that need to be moved to the destination SAP Number The Academy will merge the training histories , training assignments and close any source user ID (this can be re-activated again). A Guide to Merging Historical Training Records Missing Historical Training Records Training records are held against the User’s SAP Number (also known as the staff number). Previously online training was recorded against a network or temporary login - if the network login was not linked to the correct SAP number then it is possible that some online training may not have been imported. This training should be merged to the user’s current SAP number. You can contact the Academy to merge training records re: mandatory training history completed under a known network login or known temporary login other training history since September 2010 only under a known network login or known temporary login but not for: face-to-face training that you have very recently attended (the attendance sheet may take up to two weeks to update on myDevelopment after the course) non-mandatory training history for courses completed prior to September 2010 training on a temporary login for someone who isn’t currently in SAP Instructions Complete the template with details of any previously known network or temporary logins for the user the destination SAP/staff number to which the training record will be added user name (to act as a cross-check) and any known specific training history The Academy will check historic training records and merge relevant training histories.
