1 Week of 8/14/17 Mondays will be computer day. Sign on and create your login sheet. You don’t have to write your actual passwords, but put something to remind you what it is. NOT BEING ABLE TO LOG IN WILL NOT BE AN EXCUSE FOR MISSING THE WORK WE DO!!!! When you have logged in to the three websites, glue in your login page to the LAST PAGE of your notebook.

2 8/15/17 Bear Time: Journal Prompt
Because Margo knows the secret of leaving, the secret I have only just now learned; leaving feels good and pure only when you leave something important, something that mattered to you. Pulling life out by the roots. But you can't do that until your life has grown roots. Read the excerpt and write a response. You can write anything you want, as long as it is about the excerpt. What do you think? What do you see? Make a prediction. etc…

3 8/15/17 Writing Workshop Create your About the Author page. Use third person point of view. For example: Lindsay Lucas is a middle school English teacher in Douglasville, Georgia. She enjoys writing about the small moments in life. She does her best writing when everything is quiet except for the ambient soundscape background music Pandora station. She enjoys eating freshly baked bread, after she bakes it, and spending time with her family in Atlanta where they live. After you are finished writing, glue it in to the back cover of your notebook.
