Culture- the customs, beliefs, ideas, etc. of a society or group of people. What is the culture like here in Houston, Texas? What do you think the culture was like for Native Americans? Where you live depends how you live.

Food Sources: Fishing from Gulf of Mexico & rivers, hunting animals, & gathering fruits & herbs. Daily life: Matrilineal; women took care of the campsite; men hunted. Made dugout canoes. Religions & customs: Had many Gods; Shamans were important for religious ceremonies.

15 Why did the American Indians of the Plains Culture
live in tepees unlike other native cultures? Answer: They were nomads. Moved from place to place as they followed the buffalo and as seasons changed. (Answer should be in complete sentences.)
