2 The Agreements and The Compass
What and why now? Courageous Conversations is the utilization of the Four Agreements, Six Conditions and Compass in order to engage, sustain and deepen internalized, intra-racial, and inter-racial dialogue about race, racial identity and institutionalized racism; and is an essential foundation for examining schooling and improving student achievement. What about our norms we created last year? The norms we created fall into the umbrella of the four agreements. Purpose/Rationale To understand the compass and the four agreements of Courageous Conversations. We need to feel comfortable and safe to speak.
