2. Business Need
The unforeseen growth of B.A.G. Auto Parts has resulted in various issues with maintaining inventory and filling orders in order to maintain a satisfied customer base.
Thus an inventory management system is needed in order to allow the company to order and maintain sufficient inventory to meet customer requirements.

3. Business Requirements
The system will allow employees to access and locate in stock parts.
The system should be expandable for future growth and user friendly.
The system functionality should include:
1. The ability to easily locate in stock parts by entering a part number,
type of vehicle, or part name.
2. The ability to produce management reports (inventory reports).

4. Expected Inputs & Outputs
The system will allow employees to:
Request/generate inventory inquiries
Manage inventory stock/reorder levels
Generate inventory history
The system should allow for item status and cross referencing.
Capture Inventories (parts, price, quantity)
Sales data in relation to inventory
Maintain Inventory and Sales in database.

5. Business Value
B.A.G. Auto Parts’ customer base has increased substantially with the addition of new business contracts.
In order to meet customer needs of always having parts available and easily accessible will increase customer satisfaction, cut ordering and inventory costs, and reduce employee stress and dissatisfaction.
The new system will provide the following benefits which will allow for increased business while cutting costs associated with inventory management activities:
